When I say Propa! You say Ganda. Propa! …. Propa! …. Thanks for following through with our quick shout, and we hope you’re as excited as we are with our release of the 2014 Fall Fresh Pack.

The Fall Fresh Pack will consist of some pieces that will be featured in our Fall/Winter collection. This is the first installment of our Fresh Pack Propaganda, where we will have limited edition colorways only for the season the fresh pack is created. As we put together the collection we would like to share with you the crew neck sweaters that will be available in the up coming fall months. Some of these colors will be subject to change unless we get lazy and we stop working all together. Don’t worry we wont!

We are a long way from separate drinking fountains, restaurants, schools, bus stops and work environments. Just because those things are not relevant within society doesn’t mean it isn’t in the minds of those who decide to remain unchanged. The influence of segregation lives within those who are unwilling to sacrifice feeling for the better of our society. People with a segregated mindset raise their children with the same mentality leaving them to believe in a system created to keep us from ever finding peace and equality. We should all be able to have the friends we want by choice and not because its an acceptable satisfaction. Together we can go to the places we would like to enjoy and not to live only by association.

It’s a circle with a line through it. Kind of like the “do not” symbol, only its line goes outside of the circle. The line reaches out side the circle to symbolize the power we have within ourselves to accomplish goals and pursue our dreams. Seize each opportunity and make the best of every moment. The symbol should not be confused with saying “NO” hence the name DontBelieveThePropaganda!

It’s color is purple for royalty. It’s skin can change color or pattern to match the dynamics of its environment. The logo has endless possibilities, but just wait till you see what the other two logos can do.

DBTP Skinny Logo

Now, don’t judge this logo by its appearance. Though small in weight, it’s dynamics make for a unique set of skills and talent. The skinny logo is able to manipulate itself by number and size. It really holds its own weight even being a skinny minnie.

DBTP Fat Logo

The fat logo is probably the most used out of the three logos. It’s the most resourceful of the logo forms. The fat logo changes appearance by using common objects and elements. Its abilities and forms are endless and this logo has many designs up it’s sleeve, just waiting for the right opportunity to display its power.

I recently had the chance to visit 5 Pointz before the whitewalls were raised. If you didn’t get a chance to witness in person the artwork that displayed from the factory building, you may never get the chance again. 5 Pointz building owner has made the call to paint over the building and begin the construction of apartments.

For decades 5 Pointz has been a place that attracted people for its graffiti art murals. Artists would have a spot on the building to display their art for a period of time until the next artist comes and paints something new. If traveling on the 7 train you could see a view that displayed the higher side of the buildings art. In passing on street level the art masterpieces will capture you with their colors, design, size and imagination.

If you frequented the Long Island City area you probably had the chance to see some of the art displayed on a regular basis. Some art pieces will last longer then others, and there is a high possibility to miss out on many different artworks. I’m happy to say that I had the chance to go and take some shots of some of the pieces I thought were amazing. I thank the owners for giving the artist a chance to express themselves without police activity being a factor. I thank the curator and many artist that displayed a work of art and a place in 5 Pointz history. 5 Pointz will surely be missed but never forgotten.
